My ceiling is staining — is it coming from the terrace?
Very often, yes. In SMA, a stained or damp ceiling usually traces back to failed waterproofing or blocked drainage on the azotea above. We find the actual source on the roof and fix it, rather than just repainting the ceiling below.
How often should a rooftop terrace be waterproofed?
It depends on the system and the sun exposure, but rooftop waterproofing in SMA does not last forever — UV at altitude degrades it. We assess its condition and recommend re-waterproofing before it fails, ideally as part of seasonal maintenance.
Why does water pool on my terrace after it rains?
Usually blocked drains or a roof that has lost its slope over time. Pooling water is the enemy of any rooftop — it finds every weak point. We clear and repair drainage and correct the slope so water leaves quickly.
Can you fix a leak without redoing the whole terrace?
